Zippy Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 16, 2026

Zippy is a calculator and expense tracker published by Filicom PH. This policy explains what Zippy handles and what it does not handle in version 1.0.

Summary

Information stored on your device

Zippy stores the information needed to provide its calculator and expense history features in the app's local storage. This can include expense amounts, categories, timestamps, and optional note data preserved from an older backup. Zippy also stores your local preferences, such as currency, time format, theme, and vibration settings.

This information is processed locally on your device. Zippy does not transmit it to Filicom PH or to a Zippy server. Device locale and calendar settings may be read locally to format dates, times, numbers, and currencies; they are not collected or transmitted by Zippy.

Backups, imports, and sharing

Zippy can create a JSON backup or CSV export on your device. When you choose to share an export, Zippy uses the platform share sheet. The file may then be sent to the app or service you choose, such as an email, messaging, or storage app. That transfer is initiated by you and is governed by the destination's own terms and privacy policy. Zippy does not control or receive a copy of a file after you share it.

When you restore a backup, Zippy reads the file you select through the platform document picker and validates it locally. Zippy does not upload the backup.

Third-party services and SDKs

Zippy does not include advertising, analytics, account, or cloud-sync SDKs. The app uses platform and Expo/React Native libraries for local storage, file selection, file sharing, fonts, haptics, localization, and the user interface. These features do not send your expense records to Zippy.

If you contact support by email, your message and contact details are handled by your email provider so that support can respond. Zippy does not collect support messages automatically from within the app.

Retention and deletion

Your local expense records remain on the device until you delete individual records, use Clear all expense data, clear the app's storage, or uninstall Zippy. User-created JSON and CSV files shared or saved outside Zippy are separate copies; their retention is controlled by you and the service where you saved them.

Because Zippy has no account or developer-controlled cloud storage, there is no Zippy account to delete and no server-side expense record to request for deletion.

Security

Zippy does not transmit expense records to a server. The Android release configuration disables automatic application backup; user-triggered exports remain available through the Settings screen. No storage method can guarantee protection against a compromised or unlocked device, so use the device's security features and take care when sharing exported files.

Children

Zippy is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It does not require an account or collect personal information automatically.

Changes to this policy

If Zippy's data handling changes, this policy will be updated before or when the change is released. The effective date above indicates the latest update.
